Supervision

Supervision means overseeing the subordinates at work. It involves a face-to-face contact between the supervisor and his subordinates. The aim of supervision is to ensure that subordinates work efficiently to accomplish the tasks assigned to them.

However, supervision does not mean observing the employees from a ring-side seat. It constitutes the heart of the entire managerial process. it is concerned with initiating action. It involves putting into effect the decisions, plans and programs in order to accomplish the enterprise objectives. All this makes it necessary that human resources of the enterprise are properly activated, motivated and led to perform their assigned tasks with the required zeal and diligence.
